Wildernest is seeking a social media unicorn to join our internal team!

We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and creative social media strategist and manager to join our core team of Wildernest Women. As our Director of Social Media, you will be responsible for developing and implementing all things social in order to increase our online presence and improve our marketing and sales efforts as we grow. You will be working closely with our entire team of badass women who will support, encourage, and empower you in this role. We’ll help you continue to grow and thrive personally and professionally out in the wilderness of entrepreneurship. And together, we’ll work to build something that has the potential to change thousands of women’s lives.

We currently work with clients directly to build their businesses and are about to launch a series of e-courses to help women do it all on their own. what you’d be up to in this role

Develop, implement, design, and manage our global social media strategy

Define most important social media KPIs and work with the other marketing team members to ensure social media strategy aligns with the bigger picture marketing plan.

Manage and oversee all social media content. You will drive the strategy, content direction, calendar, copy, design, engagement and growth. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to head all Social. You will be responsible but will have the support of the team as needed. Our marketing team will help support strategy and vision. Our copywriter will support to craft your vision into our brand voice and our designer will help support, as needed, to craft design.

Manage engagement on all platforms

Measure the success of every social media platform

Stay up to date with latest social media best practices and technologies

Work with clients on their social media strategy, paid on a per project basis

Work with our internal team to develop future e-course content related to your field

Work with our internal team to promote and evolve our brand, services, and products

Work closely with the executive team on developing our future e-course content

Work with social partners to execute co-promotion and drive traffic and engagement

what chops you need to have to make the cut

2 years of experience as a Social Media Strategist or similar role. Prefer someone with experience in marketing e-courses and service based companies

Experience in developing complex and multi-platform social media strategy both product-based and service-based businesses

In depth experience and knowledge of Facebook Pages, Facebook Groups, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Instagram Stories, IGTV, Facebook Live, and YouTube best practices

Experience with Facebook and Instagram Ad Campaign development

Experience with creative strategies for account growth and community engagement.

Practical knowledge of social media KPIs, SEO, and web traffic metrics (we have an SEO specialist on the team you’ll be working with)

Outstanding multitasking, critical thinking, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and time-management skills

Passion for women’s issues, female empowerment, entrepreneurship, and bucking the status quo

how it all works

You will be working as an independent contractor.  There is no traditional salary or benefits provided in this role. So how will you get paid for all your efforts, you may ask? Just like the rest of our 6 wild women on the team, in four ways:

Profit Interest: You will receive an ownership stake in the company – if we sell or go public, you will get a piece of the pie

Profit Sharing: You will receive quarterly profits derived from our client and e-course profits

Client Work: You will have the option to work directly with clients for cash money on their social media strategy when they reach the Soar stage of our methodology, and will have first right of refusal before any of our external network of contractors.

Referrals: You will receive a 5% referral fee for any client you bring in as a full Wildernest Methodology package client (up to $800 a client)


We ask that you commit to at least 20 hours per week (and up to as much as you want! most of us work more because the more effort we invest in building the company, the more money we all have the potential to make off profits).

We strive to always stay connected with each other through our digital tools, help support each other in our roles, and support the company mission and growth in whatever ways we can.You must attend our weekly video company meetings, and team or project specific meetings as scheduled, as well as maintain active communication on Slack and email, and utilize our project management and internal digital tools. You may work on your own company and your own projects as long as they aren’t in direct competition and taking away business from Wildernest. We want you to grow your own personal purpose and passion as well, and we’ll do anything we can to support building your own dream business!
